I have used Atlassian's BitBucket as my primary code storage solution since the beginning, to both support the (originally) Australian company, and keep my code repositories private by default - something Github did not introduce until 2019.

Bitbucket's integration with JIRA and Trello are seamless and useful, with excellent issue, bug tracking, code review and deployment tools.

A number of my clients prefer Bitbucket for their own needs, making integrating my workflow with them ideal.
