Slack has changed how businesses communicate, and how developers work, in a significant way.

Harkening back to the IRC channels of my youth, having a real time, asynchronous chat tool for communication, collaboration, and funny gifs, split by channels and message groups, Slack is a very versatile tool.

I find Slack to be invaluable for its integrations and extensions, tracking events across all my other tools, being able to be notified in one place, and control those notifications when I need to take a break.
